This article by James Austin, constitutes a bold hermeneutical effort to systematically illustrate the two incompatible solutions that Wittgenstein presents in his first works, which serves as input for any genealogy that wants to be made of Wittgensteinian thought, because from the subject treated by Austin In this article, we can think of how the abandonment of logical atomism and the proposal of proposition systems - because of the problem of "color exclusion" - served Wittgenstein as theoretical embryos of language games. Consequently, the matter of color becomes a trigger for reflection on the problem of elementary propositions, truth functions, language games, ways of life, etc; allowing to be a conductive thread that allows to follow the substantial changes that Wittgenstein had throughout his investigations.
