AestheticsAbstract
The author begins by telling us about the importance of the anecdote in the history of cynicism. The story is based on some ancient characters, whose veracity or historicity seems difficult to verify, but the importance of that does not lie so much in the reality of the story as in the gesture of having said or stated elements about them. This sets a precedent related to the relevance of cynical saying, which will run through the entire work.
